Even if you don’t display the US flag all year around, there are some occasions that bring out your inner patriot and call for the National Flag.
Here are some occasions when you should consider displaying the US flag to show your love for the country:
In the US, we commemorate the adoption of our beloved red, white, and blue flag by displaying it on the streets, indoors, and outside commercial and residential buildings. It’s a tradition that began over 150 years ago and it’ll keep going. It’s a reminder of our humble buildings and the beginning of the American Dream.
The USA means so much to those who were born and raised here and to those who immigrated here from abroad in search of a better life.
Whether you own a blue passport or not, if you’re in America during Flag Day, there’s no reason for you to not display the American Flag.
It was on July 4th, 1776 when the USA officially adopted the Declaration of Independence. It was on this day that America’s first thirteen colonies declared themselves as sovereign states, free of the British rule; it was a moment of immense pride and glory.
In 2019, the USA will turn 243 years old. On the 4thof July, we’ll once again celebrate the greatness of this nation with fireworks, carnivals, fares, picnics, baseball games, and many other events where our flag will stand tall.
America is nothing without its armed forces, which is why every November 11th, we celebrate Veterans Day to honor our troops who continue to put their lives on the line for our safety.
Hoisting the flag on your yard or the front of commercial buildings is a great way to show solidarity with US Armed Forces and acknowledge the sacrifices made by its men and women.
If you can, it’s always better to volunteer and donate to charities that cater to veterans.
Americans will never forget September 11th, 2001. It was on this day that thousands of Americans lost their lives to a horrendous terror attack in New York. Americans honor those who lost their lives on 9/11 with Patriot Day.
On the day, the US flag is flown at half-mast in front of the Whitehouse.
You too can show your support for the country, its troops, and its people by displaying the flag outside your home or business.
