Our premium quality,
Massachusetts Flag, like all of our
US State Flags, is made from the best materials available in a state of the art manufacturing facility.
We start with SolarMax nylon by DuPont - widely recognized as the best flag making nylon on the market. We then use fade-resistant inks to print the the Massachusetts coat of arms in the center of the flag. Color is crisp and rich.
Then we finish the flag with two rows of stitching on top and bottom, plus 4 rows of stitching on the fly end. Then we add an additional layer of "box stitching" to the corners to assure that your Massachusetts flag will last as long as possible.
Lastly, we add a heavy canvas header and brass grommets to the flag for flying.
The finished result is a flag of unsurpassed durability and beauty. As always, your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed.
My son installed this pole as part of his BSA Eagle project. Very nice pole. Of course the hardest (from a labor standpoint) part is digging the hole and mixing/pouring the concrete for the base. Manual post hole diggers work a lot differently than the X-box controller :)
We did dig the hole to 24" for 6x the size of the 4" base. I also put 4 4'x .5" pieces of rebar in the hole before pouring the concrete (drove into the ground about 20").
With 6 adults and 8 scouts, it was fairly easy to raise the pole and plumb it after the concrete is cured. Had 2 adults holding a rope attached 3/4 way up to ensure that if we missed the hole in the ground that it wouldn't fall the other way.
Pretty straight forward and the diagram/instructions are easy to follow.
Federal Flag worked with me to get the best pole for our budget and the folks have been very helpful.
