Your nautical signal flag set comes complete with your choice of display systems:

• 4 ft. rope distance lines with ash wood toggles for connecting flags in series (this is the default option and is included in the price of your nautical flag set), or
• 4 ft. rope distance lines with bronze snaps and rings for connecting flags in series, or
• (2) brass grommets and no distance lines (you'll need a halyard with snap hooks to display these flags in this configuration).

Note that rope distance lines are sewn into the flag seam. They flag is located in a stationary position on the distance line. Distance lines, whether with ash toggles or snap hooks, allow you to assemble flags in series in order to create messages. You will need a halyard to raise them on your boat.
